Today we started in on optics. We went over notes about light. The homework is WS1 1, 3-8. This will require you to look up some numbers if you didn’t take notes.

CP Physics — 21 May

Today we continued working on our Great America packets. You were given data to use to complete the packet if the data you collected was not useable. I would this packet completed tomorrow at the end of class is possible so I can look at them this weekend. So, please do some work on them tonight.
I also tried to call over each student and review their missing work with them in order to make the grades more accurate.

Today we went over Unit 12 WS1: Wavey and then we worked on some more notes about waves. At the end of class time was alotted to work on the preliminary ideas for the mousetrap car.
We are going to extend the testing dates to include the Tuesday after Memorial Day. This makes me a little nervous about some groups waiting until the very last minute and not getting the project done, but I think most of you will use the time wisely, so I am allowing it.

Today we continued working on the activities in Unit 3 that look at resistance and the addition of resistors in series and in parallel. Your homework is to finish Unit 3: Worksheet 2 and tomorrow we will have a quiz over Unit 3 up until now.

Today we continued working on our activities. We looked today at parallel and series circuits, although we have yet to define those words.
Your homework is to define: Current, Ampere, Resistance, Ohm, Series Circuit, Parallel Circuit with sentences in your own words.

Today we introduced the King of the Hill project and continued to take notes on Waves.
No homework, but the preliminary ideas for the KoH contest are due on May 14th.
